These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of pavemints.co.za and related services (the "Service"), operated by Studio Continua (Pty) Ltd (trading as Pavemints, registration number 2024/121785/07, "we", "us", "our"). By using the Service or subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Pavemints is (and is not)
Pavemints is a sneaker-drop tracking and alert service for South Africa. We provide release information, countdowns, a verified stockist directory, and optional alerts.
We are not a retailer. We do not sell sneakers, hold stock, or process orders for sneakers. Purchases happen on third-party stockists' own websites and stores, subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party pricing, stock accuracy, availability, delivery, or the outcome of any purchase.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be 18 or older to use the Service.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method and account secure and for activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information (including a valid email and, if you enable alerts, a valid mobile number).
3. Alerts — no guarantee
Alerts (drop reminders, restock notifications) are provided "as is" and on a best-effort basis. Drop times, stock, and prices are set by third parties and can change without notice. We do not guarantee that an alert will be delivered, delivered on time, or that a product will be available. Do not rely on alerts as your sole means of securing a purchase.
4. Plans and pricing

- All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
- We may change plan prices or features. We will give you reasonable advance notice of any price increase, and it will take effect from your next billing cycle. Continuing to use a paid plan after the change means you accept the new price.
5. Billing, renewal, and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed through Paystack and renew automatically each month until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorise us (via Paystack) to charge your chosen payment method each cycle.
- You can cancel at any time via the "Manage billing" link in the app (a Paystack-hosted page). On cancellation, your paid access continues until the end of the current paid period and then reverts to Free — we do not cut off access mid-period.
- If a renewal payment fails, Paystack may retry. Your paid access continues during the retry window and downgrades only if the subscription finally lapses.
6. Refunds
Except where South African consumer law requires otherwise (see section 10), monthly subscription fees are non-refundable, and cancelling stops future charges rather than refunding the current period.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights;
- scrape, resell, or redistribute our data except as expressly permitted;
- interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service;
- misuse alerts or automate account creation.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, content, and compiled data (but excluding third-party trademarks such as brand and product names, which belong to their owners), is owned by Studio Continua (Pty) Ltd and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from it without our permission.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss arising from third-party stockists, missed drops, or unavailable products. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid plan is limited to the amount you paid us for that plan in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under South African law.
10. Your consumer rights (CPA / ECTA)
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002 that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where these Terms conflict with such a right, that right prevails.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel any paid plan at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or where required by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; clauses that by nature survive (e.g. IP, liability) continue.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email, and the "Last updated" date will change. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and you agree to the jurisdiction of the South African courts. We encourage you to contact us first at support@pavemints.co.za so we can try to resolve any dispute.
